LA-01 Cape Hatteras Lighthouse The Cape Hatteras Lighthouse is a North Carolina landmark. This photograph which was taken late in the afternoon in November was prior to the lighthouse being moved to its current location further back from the beach.

LA-03 Anticipation (Beach Access)I titled this phtograph "Anticipation" because it reminds me of the thrill I always felt when we finally arrived at the beach for vacation and when i went up the hill I'd see the ocean.

LA-05 Dune and FenceThis is perhaps my most generic photograph because this type of fencing is used to control dune erosion all along the coastal states. I have people ask me if was taken at beaches from New England through Florida.

In this photograph and the next one, there is a break in the woods where power lines pass through. The break is shrouded in fog but the sun brightes the background.

While the sun through the fog is less bright in this one than the previous photograph, the lush green of the woods appealed to me.

The photograph has a slightly pinkish cast because the sun was starting to set when I took the photograph of the pelicans flying around the shrimp boat.

LA-02 Ocracoke Island LighthouseOcrakoke Island, NC can only be reached by ferry from the the mainland or from Cedar Island to the south and Cape Hatteras to the north.

LA-14 ContrastsI really liked the contrast between the bare winter tree, the yellow daffodils and the green grass. I also liked the the heavy grey fog over the river and the hazed over sun lighting the bridge superstructure.
